About ANBI status

Stichting KROON has ANBI status (Public Benefit Organisation). This
means that we are officially recognised as an organisation serving the public interest.
This offers you significant tax benefits and extra assurance that your
donation will benefit our mission.

In the Netherlands, ANBI status is granted by the Tax and Customs Administration to
foundations and associations that are committed to a social purpose, without
profit-making for directors or founders. Stichting KROON is also recognised
as a cultural ANBI. This means that we are committed to the preservation and
dissemination of cultural heritage, and that donors benefit from an additional
charitable tax deduction.

In this way, your support contributes directly to the preservation and dissemination
of knowledge about Dutch orders of knighthood and honours, whilst you
benefit from the advantages of an ANBI donation.

In practical terms, this means the following for our donors:

Tax deductibility

Donations to Stichting KROON are, in many cases, tax-deductible against income tax or corporation tax, meaning your donation costs less in net terms.

Transparency

As an ANBI, we are obliged to publish our financial data and board information. This ensures maximum transparency regarding how your contribution is used.

Expenditure

Your donation will be used exclusively to achieve the aims of Stichting KROON, such as gathering and sharing knowledge about Dutch honours.

Community

You’ll become part of the community that keeps this heritage alive. And you’ll receive updates on new discoveries, stories and projects in which your support is highlighted.
